Hi

I am just searching for the best software to make photo-shows on my computer. I am looking for a software which does not reduce the image quality of the pics and which gives me a convenient way of archiving my best scanned imges and show them to friends in a not-boring way.

Any suggestions which might be the best one for this?

Although their "one year only" free upgrade scheme is a ripoff, CompuPic is a solid performer. I've been using it for quite a few years now and find it indispensable. I usually upgrade only on major releases to avoid paying them an annual rent. Otherwise it's a very recommendable option.

Another that comes to mind, but haven't used it in many years is ThumbsPlus. Also very solid.

IrfanView, for the price (free, ) offers a lot of options but is somewhat quirky. It won't hurt you to try it tho.
